About Us

The SUPPORT trial team was developed in partnership with the following institutions and organizations:

  • Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Chicago, Illinois)

  • Massachusetts General Hospital (Boston, Massachusetts)

  • ECOG-ACRIN (Philadelphia, Pennsylvania)

We are a team of investigators focused on improving diversity in cancer clinical trials as part of the Connecting Underrepresented Populations to Clinical Trials (CUSP2CT) program. The National Cancer Institute (NCI) provided funding support for this project through the NCI grant number CA274996.

Goals

  1. Help patients learn about cancer clinical trials and make informed decisions.

  2. Help physicians support patients who want to learn about clinical trials.

  3. Do research to improve any barriers to participating in clinical trials.

  4. Improve knowledge of cancer clinical trials in hopes of improving referral and enrollment into cancer clinical trial.
